Who is AccessTNG?

We are Canadian corporation, based in Waterloo Ontario - the heart of Canada's technology Triangle. We were formed to help close the Digital Divide in Canada and selected international markets.  The “Digital Divide” is a term coined to refer to the demarcation point between end users who have access to Broadband services, and those who do not.  Ask yourself this question:

 Our mission is to bring high speed internet to the “have not” communities in Canada – both rural and suburban.  We have developed a state-of-the-art network that uses the best combination of wireless and fiber technologies to bring data communications to all those on the other side of the Divide!

 What problem do we solve?

 Industry Canada has estimated that from one-third to one-half of all Canadians are not yet connected to the Internet, approximately the same proportion as the United States -certainly not with service offerings that are typically thought of as “high speed,” using hook ups over DSL lines or through cable services.  Although Canada is known as a relatively well cabled country, the fact is that millions of Canadians and Canadian businesses are drastically underserved in their communication needs.  The competitive environment responsible for driving these services out to the market has to date been dominated by the big Telecom and Cable players.  Their respective start-up costs have necessarily forced them to go after the big markets, and although they have moved down to smaller communities in the 5000 to 10,000 range, the momentum is grinding to a halt.    This is where AccessTNG comes into the market!

 Who are our customers?

 We serve four groups of customers. Business, Residential, Community-based networks and Service Providers.

Our business customers are generally small to medium sized businesses (or community-based branches of large businesses). For these customers we bring all of the communications services and IT capabilities that have been missing. These services include high-speed access, secure communications, web hosting, email, firewalls and growing list of other value-added services.

Our residential customers are homes that are forced to live with slow dial-up connections and are ready to step up to the world of broadband.

For Community-based networks (or CBNs) we can provide everything from turnkey wireless network implementation, to business planning and technical consulting to a complete service delivery option where your entire network is provided as a service to you and your community. State-of-the-art security systems enable us to deliver the communications needed for municipalities while sharing the infrastructure with other users to both spread the costs and the benefits of broadband to your constituents.

On a wholesale basis, our customers might be CLECs (Competitive Local Exchange Carriers), local ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) or communities. We have programs to help these companies bring world-class broadband communications to their existing customer base  – the estimated 40% of the country that cannot get cost-effective high speed services from the traditional suppliers.  Internationally, this percentage is even higher. In essence, we dramatically extend the reach of these companies' existing networks using their existing marketing and sales efforts to provide broadband services to a larger geographic area.
